Does Advertising Work?

The New Yorker asks what is becoming a common question – Does advertising still work?

This article is actually a couple of years old now, but I think it is worth going back to every now and then to see how the industry has progressed. I believe advertising does still work, but only when done absolutely appropriately. Advertising should not be a hurdle for users to jump over. It should be a value ad in the ultimate experience of consuming content.
